What I felt about the story's (the boy in the striped pyjamas) ending
I do not really like the ending, but I think it's a good one. In the book, the writer did not tell us what happened to Bruno and Shmuel. Both of them just gone missing, I guess they were died. After Bruno’s sudden missing, all his family members were all into a state of depression. All of them were trying their best to find him, including the hopeless case, Gretel. This is the sad part of the story. But looking at the situation from a different point of view, why do we feel sad when a normal boy went missing but not when so many Jews die? This may be one part of the story where the writer wants us to learn something: Everyone should be treated equally, no matter what skin colour, nationality or any other things that he may differ from us.
